In your quest to improved health and sense of well-being, Nutritional Therapy can be a vital resource.
With guidance from your nutritional therapist, your goals will be agreeable and achievable:
Pilates can be integrated into any fitness, remedial or special-needs programme.
Because of its recognised benefits, Pilates is to be found today in the fitness and well-being plans of people in all walks of life.
The application of Pilates extends across all levels of health and conditioning—from those undergoing clinical treatment through to sports professionals.
The way some Pilates is taught and applied may not suit everyone. For more on this please visit the page on why some sufferers of neck and back pain are not finding relief by attending Pilates classes.
For healthy function your body needs to maintain balance, flexibility and stability. If unmaintained then musculoskeletal problems, a cause of pain and discomfort, can arise; and you can become unduly prone to injury.
An assessment will confirm which muscles are abnormally tight or weak, and which ones are flexible and strong. From this consideration of conditioning, Caroline identifies possible causes of pain, discomfort and lack of mobility.
She can then correct imbalances through a combination of remedial massage and soft tissue manipulation, and stretching and strengthening exercises.
For an example of the application of this approach, see case study on remedial massage and exercise for a Parkinson's sufferer.
However careful you are, pursuing a sport or vigorous pastime can lead to aches and pains. For many, injury is a risk that cannot be avoided totally and almost certainly takes you down at some time.
Sports massage has as bigger part to play in the prevention of injury and muscular fatigue as it has in the treatment of injury.
One of the most common causes of sports injury is overuse. If the symptoms of overuse are spotted early enough, then sports massage can help prevent the injury.
In giving sports massage Caroline sometimes identifies possible faults in training that have caused strains and soreness. Modifications to fitness training routines can then be discussed with a view to enhancing progression and fortify against recurrence of muscular and skeletal problems.

I have been training with Caroline for the last 5 years. In that time I have made significant progress in establishing my core stability which has had a knock on effect on my posture and overall strength.
I have Parkinsons Disease and have been able to control the stiffness and lack of mobility through my regular exercise and massage sessions with Caroline.
Caroline is a terrific person to work with, creating a relaxed and most enjoyable atmosphere when training.
